Alex Marmitt, WMCP

Alex Marmitt is the youngest partner at KRM Investment Counsel and, in many ways, the clearest proof that the firm's culture runs deep. He began his career at Robert W. Baird — a firm known for rigorous training and client-first values — before moving to JPMorgan Wealth Management where he built his own practice in the Denver metropolitan area. Alex then joined Justin Klestinski and Jim Rapp's team in 2023 at Wintrust Wealth Management to be the teams consistent presence in Illinois. When they founded KRM Investment Counsel, the decision to bring Alex in as a partner wasn't just about adding capacity, it was about continuity. His clients knew him, trusted him and followed him.

Alex holds the Wealth Management Certified Professional (WMCP) designation, a credential that reflects advanced training in financial planning, tax strategy, and investment management for high-net-worth individuals. He also holds FINRA Series 7, 66, and SIE licenses, along with insurance licenses in Illinois, Florida, and Colorado — giving him the breadth to address the full complexity of a client's financial picture.

He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Business Economics and lives in the northwest suburbs of Chicago with his wife Lauren and their two dogs, Benny and Denver.
